I had the honor of moderating a session titled "Entrepreneurial Approaches to Avoiding Discriminatory AI Systems" at the event "Artificial Intelligence for Gender Equality and Against Discrimination - Policy Approaches of the German UNESCO Commission." We explored how structures for gender-sensitive AI education & development can be anchored & promoted, legal protection for individuals, and the role of standardization processes and transparency. In the plenum, othe experts & I discussed preventing gender-related discrimination by Artificial Intelligence (AI) & the role AI can play in promoting gender equality. Action approaches demonstrate how UNESCO´s Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence can be implemented in Germany for greater gender equality & against discrimination. The results paper, outlining specific action approaches for politics and administration, has already been published.
